People who have been identified as being at potential ‘higher risk’ of current or future harm from domestic abuse are discussed at the Highland MARAC. This is a multi-agency forum that can provide quick help from many different sources and agencies.
Everything discussed at the MARAC is confidential and members from all agencies must sign a confidentiality agreement.
Where child protection concerns have been identified, these will be shared with appropriate authorities in the usual way.
All the agencies represented at the meeting plan what should be done to reduce the risk and each agency is then responsible for completing their part of the plan.
Please telephone and ask a member of staff for further information.
