Staying Safe

If you are living with domestic abuse in your home it can be a very frightening time. You may want to protect the person being abused and think you can help, but the most important thing you can do is to keep yourself safe. Don’t try and stop a fight between adults you may get hurt.

Remember – IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT

If you can, you can phone the police by dialling 999 and telling them. They will ask for your name and address and ask you what is happening and who is in the house. If it is safe for you they may ask you to stay on the phone until they arrive.

There may be safe places in your house where can go until things quieten down.

Tell someone that you can trust. If there is an argument at home you can phone them and let them know what’s going on so that they can help you.

We will be here and we will listen to you – ring us on 01463 220719
